The Kaffeeklatsch first opened its doors to coffee lovers on May 17, 1976. After a year of business, they decided to roast coffee beans on site, insuring absolute control over freshness and quality. The vintage 1929 Jabez Burns No. 7 Roaster, still used daily, was brought in from New Orleans and Grant began roasting for a growing number of satisfied customers.
